New Business:
1. St. Patrick’s Day Parade – Dorian reported on scheduled Portland activities: a. The Hollywood Parade - Sunday March 15th. Parade starts at 11am. Participants should be on site and ready to go by 10:30am. Location is same as previous years, Fernwood/Cleary Middles School at NE 33rd and Hancock. Parking available in the school parking lot. This is a short parade, done by about noon and is easy for puppies and seniors to participate. If they get tired they can drop out, go over one block and pick up the group for the finish. We will follow the bagpipers near the front of the parade. After the parade there will be a group photo session to commemorate this year.
b. Kell's Irish Festival – Participants should contact Dorian before attending. So she can schedule time. She stressed the importance of participating hounds to be very friendly, rock solid, bathed and brushed. Kell's is on Saturday March 14th and Sunday March 15th from 11am to 3pm. The city’s Fun Run is on Sunday so some streets will be closed off for the morning.
c. Dorian, Nadean and Tina will organize parade details (banner, supplies, banner holders, etc).
2. New Meeting Location Needed – Season’s Grill has closed. Dorian volunteered to secure a new meeting place. Parameters: Along the I-5 corridor, between Tigard and Woodburn. The Village Inn was one suggestion.
3. Esther reported new wolfhound owners, Mike & Carol Sayre, have been added to our general contact group. They own (Curt & Dorothy Myrick’s) Coralee’s sister. Patty will send other owner/contact names to Linda to add to the general contact list to IW promote education, inclusion in club activities, and membership. 4. Esther reported sending get well cards to Jean Fleetwood and (Kell’s Pub) Brad Yoest.
